Community Day at Stanford

Sunday April 4, 2004

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

 

Stanford University is inviting residents of surrounding communities to visit during Community Day. The event is an all-day open house featuring music,arts, athletic events, science exhibits, faculty lectures and a children's community carnival and health fair. All events are free and open to the public.* The University’s Annual Founders’ Celebration will be held in conjunction with Community Day.

 

 

Founders’ Celebration Program

 

11:00 a.m. Procession begins

 

Join President John Hennessy, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty, students, and Stanford Historical Society Board at the top of the Oval for the procession to the Stanford Mausoleum.

 

11:30 a.m. Founders’ Celebration at the Mausoleum

 

Program includes wreath laying ceremony and remarks by student speakers (to be selected) and President Hennessy.
